Every family who walks through our doors is a little nervous on day one β and that's okay. After more than three decades of welcoming new children, here's what helps most.
1. Visit before the first day. Even a short tour helps your child put a face to their new room and educators.
2. Keep goodbyes short and warm. Long goodbyes can make the transition harder for your child. A confident hug and a 'see you soon' goes further than you think.
3. Send a familiar comfort item. A small lovey or blanket can ease nap time and quiet moments.
4. Trust the wobble. Tears at drop-off rarely mean an unhappy day β most children settle within minutes. We send updates so you can see for yourself.
5. Talk to us. We are here. Maneet and the team would always rather hear a question than have a worry sit at home.
